ShangGuan Shipan,Major General, was born in Chang Ding, Fujian Province. He graduated from department of Physics in XiaMen University on 1958.

He devoted his whole life to thespace launching, the measurement and controlling of the weapon equipment testing.And he was an excellent conductor ofmodern military technology equipment experiment and the satellite launchingwho made great contributions toChinese national defense modernization.

Xie Xide, was born in Quanzhou, Fujian Province. She was a famousphysicist, educator who elected the Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences on 1980.She graduated from department of Physics in XiaMen University on 1946.Then she got her Ph.D. in M.I.T.

Academician Xie Xide was oneof the pioneers of the country's semiconductor physics, is the pioneer and founder of the country's surface physics research.Shefostered a large number of trained persons for the development of the semiconductor industry in China.

Academician Xie Xide passed away in Shanghai on 2000.

Xu Juyan, was born in Minhou, Fujian Province on the July. He graduated from the department of Physcis in XiaMen University on 1957 and became a famousspecialistfamilar withMicroelectronics and semiconductor technology. He was elected theAcademician of Chinese Academy of Engineering on 1995.

Academician Xu Juyanengaged in semiconductor technology and the development of the microelectronics industry, and he is one of thefounders and pioneersaboutintegrated circuit IC industrial technology in China.

Zeng Rongsheng, was born in Pingtan, Fujian Province. He graduated fromdepartment of Mathematics and Physics in XiaMen University on 1946. He was electedthe Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciencesas a famous solid earth physicist. Now he works in the Institute of Geophysics, China Earthquake Administration as a researcher.

Academician Zeng Rongshengengaged in the study of seismology and geodynamics, is a pioneer scientist in the field of internal structure of the earth in China.
